Farrell BLISS birth certificate (1874-1961)

Farrell BLISS was the youngest son of my ancestors George BLISS and Sarah FURRILL, and continued farming the 'Spring Creek' farm after his father died. Jan Balfour has provided me with copies of his birth certificate. George BLISS and Sarah FURRILL had twelve or thirteen children, but Farrell continued on his father's farm while his other children married and moved to other parts (http://thehistoryofmatt.blogspot.com/2011/07/children-of-george-and-sarah-bliss-yass.html). As such, when George Bliss passed away in 1915 aged 96, his farm passed directly to his son (who had probably been running the farm for quite some time already!). Jan also provided an image of his will which is included in this post, which came via another descendant.

Transcript of the Will of George Bliss. Will made 11th March 1911

This is the last will and testament of me George Bliss of Windy Point on the Yass River near Yass Colony of New South Wales Farmer. I devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease unto my son Farrell Bliss of Windy Point Yass River Farmer absolutely and I appoint the said Farrell Bliss sole executor of this my will hereby revoking all other testamentary writings heretofore made in witness thereof I have hereunder set my hand this eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Signed by the said testator as his last will and testament In the presence of us present at the same time who Request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.
