Marriage of Norman Hall and Mary Ellen Banfield, 1918

My great-grandfather Norman Hall married Mary Ellen Banfield in 1918. Norman didn't serve in World War 1, though he states in his memoirs that he served domestically. When they married Norman was an electrician, though a short time later he trained as a chemist. Norman also states in his memoirs and letters that he met Mary Ellen as she was a student teacher at his father's school. It is interesting to note that the two witnesses are named GILLOGLEY - when Mary Ellen's mother died in 1907 at Maude NSW, she died at the GILLOGLEY home, so there was clearly a strong connection between the two families. In this case, Greta GILLOGLEY was born at Hay in 1901 to James and Mary.

Hi Matt
My name is Juliette Hall.
My grandfather & Grandmother were Norman Hall & Mary Ellen Banfield (same as your great grandparents).
I am Edward (Ted) Hall's daughter & am putting together some info. for my siters 50th birthday.
You mention Norman Hall's memoirs. Where can I find these?
Your help would be appreciated.
By the way, who are your parents as they would be my cousins?
Cheers
Juliette
