Ian Priestly, a fellow descendent of Henry Priestly, has ordered the death certificate of Samuel PRIESTLY. The main discovery was that after the death of his wife Catherine nee SLATER in 1869, Samuel re-married to Catherine FROST, in Randiwck in 1871.
Samuel died 11 years later (1882) in Arundel Terrace, Glebe. His son Henry reported the death, and was living on Glebe Point Road Glebe. It is a little frustrating to know read that the family didn't know the name of Samuel's parents, though we have confirmation he was born in Leeds.
The second marriage in 1871 is exciting as NSW Marriage Certificates at the time ask for the name of parents - Samuel should have furnished them with this information. Ian has already ordered the certificate - so we'll soon fund out.
